With an aim to promote sustainable tourism for the eco-conscious experiential traveler, Mountain Boutiques Luxury Collection own and operate a unique portfolio of small luxury properties strategically located in unique, scenic and secluded locations within Sri Lanka.
Aspects unique to all of the properties in our luxury collection is that they have been constructed and operated with minimal impact to nature with respect to preserving the natural environment we function within with each having it’s own distinctive architectural grandeur and tastefully adorned interior. Our dynamic team at each property ensure that our valued patrons have an authentic experience during their stay while indulging in the fine comforts of the hotel, it’s amenities and authentic culinary delights.
A carefully curated selection of experiences collaborating with the local community is offered in each of our hotels, conducted exclusively for our in-house guests in addition to the private excursions conducted by our talented naturalists who are avid wildlife enthusiasts.

Dulani Guruge
Founder and Managing Director
Completing her tertiary education in Australia, with a Master of Business Adminstration (Edith Cown University) and Bachelor of Commerece in Management , Marketing and e-commerce (Deakin University), Dulani returned to her home country to peruse her career in hospitality.
Starting her career in procurement in one of the leading DMC's in Sri Lanka, at a very young age, she gained invaluable exposure to participate in overseas travel trade events and familiarization tours including WTM-London, ITB-Germany and Maldives. Being an avid travel enthusiast with a passion for architecture and interior, she ventured into the hotel industry a few years later to explore her passion as a hotelier.
With over 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Dulani has since founded Mountain Boutiques Luxury Collection with the aim to promote sustainable tourism to the eco-conscious experiential traveler. She owns and manages four luxury boutique hotels in unique locations strategically located within Sri Lanka. The locations , concept, design and interior of all these small luxury hotels have been personally selected, acquired, Conceptualized and implemented by Dulani including the curated experiences offered within each property.
Having being recognized for her contribution to the tourism industry including the award for the Outstanding woman Entrepreneur-2019 awarded by IFC, Australian aid and WIM - Sri Lanka, she is a holder of The Professional certificate in Sustainable Tourism awarded by the The Global sustainable Tourism Council.
She has been instrumental in making Mountain Boutiques Luxury Collection, a renowned luxury hotel chain in Sri Lanka,, winning the collection accolades including the Conde Nast Johannes Sustainability award from Asia, Tourism Allianz sustainability champion award and Good Travel seal award by SLTDA.
Ishan Dissanayake
Resident Manager - Flameback Eco Lodge
With over 12 years experience in the luxury and eco-stay accommodation segment, Ishan is a experienced hotel professional who heads the operations of Flameback Eco Lodge. While Food & Beverage is his specialty, he is a keen wildlife enthusiast and a senior naturalist, who is actively involved in our Sustainability and eco-friendly initiatives and activities conducted at the hotel.
Ishan has a in-depth knowledge about wildlife and birding and personally conducts nature guided walks with the guests along with our other senior naturalists. He also actively participates in the curation and implementation of our community based activities.
Sonali Lowe
Manager - Sales & Reservations
A passionate traveler and explorer of Sri Lanka's niche boutique segments, Sonali holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a specialization in Hospitality, Tourism & Events Management from Uva Wellassa University. Currently, she is pursuing a Master's in Marketing at the University of Kelaniya to further hone her skills and knowledge. With six years of experience in the inbound travel industry, Sonali made a significant career shift into the boutique hotel sector. joining Mountain Boutiques Luxury Collection where she now celebrates six successful years. Sonali is also a Travelife Sustainability Manager and a Travelife Certified Animal Welfare professional. She is deeply committed to promoting sustainable tourism practices and contributes to the Mountain Boutiques Luxury collection sustainability management practices.
Eranda Sameerana
Resident Manager - The Capoe House
Being a veteran wildlife expert and a senior naturalist, Eranda is a young and dynamic professional who is passionate about nature and conservation. An expert photographer, he has captured many wildlife photos at the property and surroundings which is displayed at the hotel. A keen hiker, Eranda and his team at The Capoe House ensures a memorable and adventurous stay for guests visiting The Capoe House. His knowledge of wildlife and nature has been instrumental in promoting nature based activities at the hotel including the popular junior naturalist programme enjoyed by the youngsters. Eranda is also actively involved in our CSR Initiatives where he conducts a quarterly nature and conservation knowledge sharing workshop to the students of Kalupahana school and supports our initiatives for the school development activities.
Ishan Chathuranga
Bungalow Executive - Rosewood Manor
An expert in Food & Beverage and curating the finest cocktails, Ishan has over a decade of experience in the luxury hotel segment. His passion for conservation and organic farming has resulted in Rosewood Manor's green house concept and other eco-friendly initiatives implemented by the in-house team. He is a nature lover and ensures the guests have a memorable stay within the tranquility of the Rosewood Manor estate.
Chef Krishan Sameera
Executive Chef- Flameback Eco Lodge
Having worked in leading boutique hotel chains within the country, Chef Sameera is an experienced culinary expert specializing in Set menus and a-la cart menus.
Being an award Winner of Culinary Art awarded by Chefs Guild of Sri Lanka, Sameera has curated a fine selection of set menu's combining Sri Lankan, Western and Asian cuisine for guests to indulge in an unique gastronomical experience.
Known for his skillful culinary presentation and flavorsome cuisine he partakes in Guest Culinary experiences held within the hotel premises.
Chef Madushanka
Senior Sous Chef - The Capoe House
Chef Madushanka is a young and dynamic culinary enthusiast who has advanced well in his career due to his creativity and experimental cuisine. He has introduced authentic and flavorsome ingredients to the western and traditional cuisine offered at The Capoe House and has been commended for the presentation of traditional Sri Lankan cuisine Capoe House is well known for.
